I saw a huge fin crest the waves 30mtrs from where I was surfing at Insides this morning. Huge I tell ya. My first thought was Wow, that's the biggest dolphin I've ever seen. Another guy had noticed it too and was telling his girlfriend who immediately caught a wave to the beach. He reckoned it was too big for a dolphin or a shark (It didn't really move like a shark either) and that it was probably an Orca/Killer whale ('cause they get a few around here) and decided to wait a couple of minutes before...

you would never even know this trail leads down to the beach unless you see surfers coming out. it has a sign saying no access to bluff tops. which isn't where we're going so that's good. this trail is absolutely nuts. it is by far the hardest and most technical trail leading down to the beach i've ever done. it starts as a little trail hugging fence over to the canyon. it then drops pretty quickly down into the canyon. at first this seems pretty normal stuff, loose gravel, somewhat steep descents...
