Yes to Zambales

  So last week end, I was in Zambales with some friends from med school. You see, the province has recently become the new Puerto Galera of the northwest, where week-end warriors (usually groups of yuppies) seek respite from the buzz of hectic Manila. There's Subic and Olongapo, but the beach is where the youngsters really go (in Anawangin or Nagsasa). Of course, the fad-follower that I am wanted to see what the rave is all about, so when my friends asked me if I wanted to join, I said go go go...

For my final PE this semester, I stayed away from the 'normal' PE classes that I was fond of taking because of its ease and familiarity (got table tennis and duck pin bowling before~). I wanted to enroll in Yoga but it didn't fit my sked so I got CAMPING instead. I thought it was a "fun-fun" PE where we just sit and don't do much (I was thinking it was more on lectures and that kind of stuff~ haha~) but I was wrong. So wrong. Hello! I'm Edel. ^^ I'm writing to you from the Natividad, Naguilian, La Union, Philippines. It's Christmas Eve here...and HOT. I'm a Canadian, so it doesn't feel like Christmas at ALL. WHERE'S THE SNOW?!?! Baha. I think one of the things I miss the most about Canada is snow...and clean, flushable toilets. But it's hot here, so I think it makes up for it...I think. Oh oh and my cousins make up for it too. Just think, in a couple of days we're leaving for Zambales...gah T_T But there's more kids...

Wow its been a whirlwind of activity since I came back from holiday in the Philippines. In the blink of an eye, I'm leaving again for the Philippines, this time on a mission trip to Zambales. Pray that everything will go smoothly and that we will really touch the lives of the people there and be a blessing to them! Anyway, tons of stuff has happened since I got back. Omg I just realized I haven't even blogged about the trip itself. Well it was pretty awesome, not alot of stuff to do up on the mountain...
