View other answers Well since you asked this I'll answer the US celebrates our independence with fireworks followed by getting drunk and having hamburgers and hot dogs on the barby.  We love meat where in india they eat dishes that don't involve meat at all.  And I believe they don't drink either.  I believe the US's morals have gone down...

View other answers I see it as this, India celebrates with kites as a reflection on thier high hopes and dreams, while they seem out of reach they can be attained. The US celebrates with fireworks cause hey nothing says independance like blowing up a small peice of your country.
