Well since you asked this I'll answer the US celebrates our independence with fireworks followed by getting drunk and having hamburgers and hot dogs on the barby. I see it as this, India celebrates with kites as a reflection on thier high hopes and dreams, while they seem out of reach they can be attained. The US celebrates with fireworks cause hey nothing says independance like blowing up a small peice of your country.

I think it sort of represents that india is more traditional, and the US is more, um.... Technicology and stuff. Like, not to traditional and more modern.
