Wow! I did not know that. I have read Dracula that had a foreword by Elizabeth Kostova (author of The Historian), she mentioned how much Stoker had researched to enable himself to write the book believably. So I suggest that perhaps Stoker found out Vlad the Impaler's birthday and thought it fitting to have his Dracula have the same. Today... read more
