All the directions told you to go to Pier 94 to get to the Con, which is at 54th street but registration (and the two panel rooms) weree at pier 92 at 52nd street (across from the Hustler Club). I came up from 52nd street so I ran into a great load of people who were trying to get into the only working elevator to the registration area.
