At noon, the fog began. Strange, isn't it? Fog in sunlight is a rare thing. It rolls in slowly off the ocean, gaining a foot every half-hour, swirling coldly around the ankles. By four pm, it will have risen to chest level. Despite it being light out, things can occasionally be half-glimpsed in the fog bank.
