A great big thanks to everyone who sent positive travel vibes to Jeanetta today. She is aboard her plane in San Francisco and waiting to take off to Santa Barbara...scheduled to arrive here at 11:50pm. It wasn't easy (it was touch and go in Chicago and she had to run for her plane, getting blisters from her carry on)...but she'll be here soon...YAY! I'm going to fold this load of laundry and be ready to pick her up (airport is less than 10 minutes from my house). No home made pizza for dinner....

All praise to what ever god of databases you personally worship. My karma must be running high because I've been able to recover the MS SQL _server_ database for our fire reporting software. The data is up to date, and seems to be fully intact. I cannot begin to describe my relief. Everything from this point forward is cake. So now the question remains, do I rebuild the server and recreate all the user accounts etc. from scratch? Or to I wait to hear back from Micro$quish about restoring the old...

The girls are doing MUCH better today, and the doctor has reassured me that there is nothing to worry about. Whew. This weekend will hopefully be all Mother's Day pampering all the time, which I am greatly looking forward to. Dammit, I have EARNED some pampering. A very eventful end to a very eventful season. Against all odds, Kimi Raikkonen has managed to win the Formula 1 Driver's Championship. Thanks to a very uncharacteristic glitch on Lewis Hamilton's McLaren (Though he went on to have an awesome race and catch up to 7th place) and a very uninspired drive by Fernando Alonso, Kimi upturned the driver's standings and finally got the championship he was chasing for several years now.
