What the blip is going on

Well, with Sci Fi Chicks and Genre Chicks, I was getting sick of the chicks.  So solsticechick had to go.  So I renamed myself.  Yes, this is about the 6th time I've renamed myself (either by renaming or starting a new LJ), but I am a bit a decision wimp.  However, I really like this name, since my other blog (the one I never update because I'm always fangirling over here) is called "Stream of Conscience."  (And yes, it's purposely "conscience" instead of "conscious.")  Hee! Joined blip.fm via Warren (of course), found this track, and I'm like, I don't have this song... but wait... I think I was AT this show!!

I blame ravenbait   for playing Birdhouse In Your Soul on Blip.fm (that made me smile) - this morning I woke from a dream of recording and mixing the damned song.  Vocals, harmonica, bass guitar and a drum loop.  If you've heard me sing or go near an instrument, you'll know that this dream was the purest wish-fulfillment fantasy.  You'll also have my deepest sympathy.  Still, I've been singing it to myself all day today.  Dogs howl, babies' bottles curdle, the moon turns verily to blood...

Just found out about blip.fm, and I'm loving it!
