So you just read this book. And, well, it was okay. It looked like the author got most of his or her spelling mistakes, and the prose isn't terrible . There's a visible plot and you can tell the characters apart from each other. There are even a handful of genuinely funny bits. But, still, somehow, you can't tell how in the world the book as it is ever made it past a sane, sober copy-editor, and actually sold copies . And sold copies it has—maybe by the millions.
