True happiness is so fleeting

I was internetting in front of the TV tonight and the following commercial came on. it's a happy day today :) cotton candy clouds frolicking in the sky, and occasionally you could see sunlight streaming in through peepholes, giving us a constant reminder that it's always there. i never knew the weather had such powers over me. my mood is dependent on the channel the sky is tuned to. The acetic wind burrows deep into flesh and bone, and i am weak. When the warm sunlight pokes through the rain heavy clouds, the world suddenly seems more compassionate.  I gave away a pound yesterday...

Sometimes, Gentle Reader, being a geeky type is a downer, a no good brain drainer of a lifestyle. You tire of the glitz and shine of the latest technological gadgetry and seek out the darkness beyond the range of its pale blue glow. Tonight however, is not one of those nights, tonight is a night to revel in every finely tooled piece of precision engineering that you can see, whether yours or someone elses, tonight is a night to celebrate by the light of diodes. Why ? Well, a number of reasons....

'sometimes pain becomes such a huge part of your life that you expect it to always be there because you can't remember a time in your life when it wasn't. but then one day you feel something else. something that feels wrong only because it's so unfamiliar, and in that moment you realize you're happy. happiness comes in many forms. in the company of good friends, in the feeling you get when you make someone else's dreams come true, or in a promise of hope renewed. it's okay to let yourself be happy...

 I was talking to  venusflesh yesterday about being broke, about worrying and whatnot...and my favorite verses came to mind .  Thought I'd post them today with a little commentary...
