The weather sucks

The weather really sucks. I think thats what is making everyone sick and moody. I guess the Burmese people had it worse. I really feel sorry for the state of the people now. The recalcitrant and foolish military leaders should just accept foreign aid. I really pray that they will make it through these tough days ahead.     A tribute to Burma and its people. read more

When the weather report says it is 6 degrees F and feels like -15, I think that should be a perfectly good excuse for me not to go to class. And P.S. - Whatever shall the Secret Machines do without Benjamin's red-haired goodness and false front-man-ness? "Secret Machines announce guitarist's departure" . *Sad face* Now I must go get bundled up and get to class.

I'm home now.  This is far and away the crappiest the roads have been all winter.  They aren't plowing because the snow is coming down at 1" an hour or better.  I convinced Hubcap to come home by browbeating him in front of his coworkers.  He was going to stay because they are shortstaffed, but after I went to his office to tell him I was leaving, they told him he could go too. We had 8.1" of snow at 7:00 am; when I got home at 9:45 it was up to 11".  And the wind is gusting up to 30 mph or so...

I was comfortable in my short sleeves when I went to work this morning, but by the time I left, I was freezing ! On the way home, light percipitation was falling, enough to where I had to turn my truck's wipers on. Damn Louisiana weather! In other news, two of the six scheduled "cart people" at the job called in today. It got so bad before the other two scheduled at 2pm came in, that the manager and one of the co-managers had to come out on the lot to help out. Chris, one of the few reliable...
