This morning I almost reached 52,000 words on "Gladiatrix." I'm writing in foreign territory now, never having done anything this long. I can feel the end approaching, and it brings feelings of disbelief and joy and shock and everything else. The rough draft will need fleshing out, and perhaps it will even make it to the Industry Standard TM 90,000 word minimum, but in rough draft it's going to be something in the vicinity of 60,000 words.
