Here, anyway, after almost two years, are some photographs culled from the thousands which we took on our journeys through the coalfields of China. All photos were taken with the rather elderly FD Mavica camera, whose signal advantage is its ability to shoot to a floppy-disk, backed up by its utterly bullet-proof construction and tremendous battery-life (the thing works off of huge lithium batteries meant for video-cams).
