For a while, I was joking that since I want so many species that have been an ecological disaster someplace (pigs, Muscovy ducks, rabbits, goats, blackberries...) that I should just plan on surrounding my farm with a moat of fire and calling it an invasive species refuge. Today, I began pondering breeding new strains of livestock from feral and wild populations around Seattle. Pigeons, rabbits from Greenlake, whatever else I could find and catch. I am full of silliness.

This weekend, I was hanging out with a group of generally non-religious friends. In a moment of silliness, we put our arms around each other and sang a verse of Kumbaya. Within 24 hours, a religious person was standing at the door, proselytizing.
