Research week 15 |

Research (week 15) Are there any advertising techniques which have failed in the past but may work much better in the context of modern society? Are you better off making your product cheap in the hope that more people will buy it and you’ll make a similar amount to that which you would if you charged more? Do you risk making your product seem inferior as it is less expensive… links to Vines thing My band must look at what possible outlets it can access for advertising... read more

Harvard Research Project Seeks LJ Bloggers for Interviews |
I'm a research assistant on the GoodPlay Project , which is directed by Dr. Howard Gardner at Harvard University. I created this LiveJournal account in order to contact and invite LJ users who are between the ages of 15 and 18 to participate in a one hour, confidential interview at our offices in Cambridge, MA (or a more convenient location for research participants who may not live nearby). The interviews are fairly open-ended and informal - a chance for you to share with us thoughts about your... read more

Research paper topic. |

My first official research paper is looming ahead of me, and the strange thing is that I'm excited about it. I'm planning on writing about the Israel/Palestine situation. It's been going on, technically, since the beginning of time, basically. (Well, not really, but since biblical times.) I'm going to focus on the modern day conflict, in particular. It branches back to the demise of the Ottoman Empire, sometime around World War I, I think. I'm going to cover a brief, contemporary history of the... read more

Research: Woman’s Paycheck Key to How Much Housework She Does |
In married working couples, the more money a woman earns, the less housework she will do, regardless of how much money her spouse makes, says sociologist Sanjiv Gupta. That finding is based on a study of women who work full-time recently published in the Journal of Marriage and Family. Newswise — In married working couples, the more money a woman earns, the less housework she will do, regardless of how much money her spouse makes, says Sanjiv Gupta, a sociologist at the University of Massachusetts... read more

I am a novel-and-research-paper-writing MACHINE!!! |
The blogging may continue to be a bit slow for awhile. My life has been consumed by homework and NaNoWriMo. As the end-of-semester nears, I have several tests and a research paper looming over my head like the Sword of Damocles, threatening to fry my brain at any moment. And to add to that, my funny, quirky little NaNoWriMo novelette had decided to become a lil' mini sprawling epic. It's no Lord of the Rings by any means, but I think I'm gonna end up with considerably more than 50000 words, which... read more
