I have a number of habitats within my backyard edible garden. As I live on a canyon, the back part of the yard closest to the back chain-link fence is the coldest in winter, and hottest and driest in summer and during Santa Ana winds. i just had an idea for a raised bed! you can use a childs plastic kiddie pool, or maybe you already have an old one in your yard. you could spray paint it, and i am sure there would be other ways to make it look neat. anyways, just an idea i had. i know this would be a lot cheaper than most of the beds ive been looking at.
