40. Words in History. Poetry.
   

Words in History Contrary to popular belief, I don't want to be an author, because authors are just people who get paid to write, and writing is just putting words together the way someone would a symphony, one rhythmic note against blank spaces at a time. I would prefer to be a storyteller, though for the record, I'm not good at public speaking, not the way politicians are, or performance poets, or people who are brave. quick! i need this edited and crit'd by monday! and, by 'monday,' i clearly mean, 'sunday night so i can print it out.' the assignment was a poem about a positive change. i chose interracial marriage. but i'm not pleased with this poem, at all. it's not doing anything i'm telling it to. History class is so inspiring...
   

 So in English class we're starting to read a Tale of Two Cites.  For some random reason, our teacher had us write anaphoras in the still of the first sentence ("It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...") so being an obsessive Doctor Who freak, I wrote ones with references that no one got except my friend Brittany.  Later in History, those anaphoras evolved into this:           It's kinda mleh at the moment, but then again I never was good at poetry...
