Papa

My grandpa had a heart attack last night and is going in for a stint (?) tomorrow afternoon.  Mom wants to go and visit him in dartmouth, but neither my sister or me can afford to take the time off work, or afford the travel costs.  Sis says that he should be ok because if it was life and death, they wouldn't be waiting to do the surgery.  Mom is in hysterics.  I am reminded of my callous attitude towards my grandpa last time I saw him and now feel like shit.  Jojo, I'm sorry for your loss. read more

yeap, papa birthday is yesterday but since i am not home yesterday, celebration is brought till today.  went home today, papa fetched me from the ferry terminal. I found a reference a few weeks back to the twelve heavenly generals (Juuni Shinshou); Yasha (nature spirits) who were each associated with one of the twelve zodiac animals who are defenders of the Buddhist faithful. So, if there really was a dog general and there were also eleven others how cool would it have been to have seen some of them?
