Ok, me and the Uber are not too happy with his bank right now. Evidently Wachovia is quite deceptive about their banking practices. What's happened is this: When B signed up for his account they told him the online banking was like a personal checkcard registry and that there would be two balances listed, a posted balance for transactions that had cleared and an available balance that would include pending transactions.
