And so, another away ground can be ticked off the list as yesterday I ventured to the Premier League's most northerly outpost - Newcastle. First, some practical stuff. The train left King's Cross at 09.30 bound for Darlington. Evidently there is some engineering work on the East Coast Main Line, which means that the Mallard set couldn't be diverted via an alternate route due to it being an electric train utilising overhead wires.
