Movie Review Speed Racer

I went to see Speed Racer with mixed feelings. One year ago when I heard about the live action version being made I was very skeptical. I went with a bunch of friends last Saturday to go see the Speed Racer movie in IMAX. I thought it was amazing! The cinematography, the acting, the film score, everything was as beautiful and fast pace as I thought it would be. Everyone that went with me thought it was great too! Is it weird that I got teary-eyed with "Speed Racer"? It's during the part where Racer X was telling Speed Racer to do it not because he wants to be a driver, but because he's driven. I never cry during movies--I (almost) never cry, period--but...in Speed Racer? I'd like to blame it on the jiggly camera shots. Nope, haven't seen it. Too fast for me. Synopsis: A film based on the legendary speed bike racer from New Zealand named Burt Munro. Munro set numerous land speed records for motorcycles with engines less than 1000cc at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah in the late 1950s and into the 1960s. Ohhh, the eye candy. Such a visually stunning movie. I'm glad I saw it on the big screen. Everyone knew kung fu, though that was pretty much a given. Silly Wachowskis. It stayed pretty true to the original series, down to the "Mach 5 jumping" sound effect. Jack, er Matthew Fox, as Racer X was very good! Yeah, I pretty much loved it.

Let's go chronological. Part Eye: Iron Man At this point a review's kind of useless from a persuasive standpoint, since it's almost mathematically impossible for you to have not seen this movie.
