Movie Review Iron Man

Let me just say this: Iron Man is Fan-fucking-tastic . Absolutely awesome. The storyline, dialogue and acting are so tight throughout this whole flick. It's enjoyable and fun and there was really no part of it I didn't like. Iron Man was the bomb! Well, the movie was indeed awesome and I'm looking forward to the upcoming sequels. I wanted War Machine to show up (and not just Rhodey in his civilian outfit) but, as they say, patience is a virtue. What burned me was that I didn't get to see Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. I wanted to hear him shout "I am tired of these motherfuckin' Iron Men in this motherfuckin' city!" That would be funny indeed. But still, the movie kicked major ass. It has to be Robert Downey...

I need to start off by saying... as a comic book geek? I'm not really all that big a fan of solo Iron Man. Ya know how many Iron Man comics I have? Five. Four of which are from Vol. 1 of the series, which is fairly impressive, considering that there's been (as far as I can tell) four volumes since the sixties not counting War Machine. What I do like, though, is Iron man in a group, IE: The Avengers. I have a good bit more Avengers books, not to mention other books where Iron Man is a crossover...

I have to say - I never followed the Iron Man comics, and thus my knowledge of characters and stories from this aspect of the Marvel Universe is limited. That said - WOW... this movie was GREAT! The action, the acting, the special effects... I loved ALL of it and it is already on my MUST BUY THIS MOVIE list! My other half is NOT a fan of movies from comic books, but even he really enjoyed this. I'm just tickled that we got to see it the night before it officially opened made for a great anniversary...
