More new writer stuff

Well - there are aparently a few other little things I need to do... 1. Once edits are complete get an official copyright on the book. It's not that big of a deal - just wow actually registering a copyright instead of just using the standard creation copyright. 2. Joining RWA - Romance Writers of America. Actually joining a group that is specifically for writers. Probably do this one first... I'm saving my change to pay for it and I'm almost there. read more

Writer's block, the curse of all writers! I got the first chapter of my Valentine's Lilly/Jackson story out and then my mind went  completely blank (Which really doesn't take much to do) anyway I put the second chapter up, hopefully it doesn't suck. Also I was looking around Livejournal and I was wondering why there is no Lilly/Jackson community? Miley/Oliver has one and both have the same likelyhood of actually happening. If someone say...I don't know me were to make one, would anyone actually...

It's been a looong creative winter. It fucking pisses me off that I can't seem to organize my thoughts and write even one fucking paragraph. I used to be able to write whole novels in a short period of time but now I agonize over each sentence and it drives me nuts to the core. I hate this. I was supposed to submit a short story to this writing contest but today's the deadline and all I have is a mess of words and ideas sprawled on paper.  I am disappointed. Weird! They've got this category called Writer's Block where you can just post random shit. I like it. I'm gonna choose the second one I saw: "What's the best birthday present you ever received?" I wouldn't call it a birthday present per se, but my parents bought me my first car, used, from my dad's work. I had no idea that they were gonna do it and it was absolutely amazing. It was a 1985 Ford LTD. White exterior, burgundy interior, 4 door, great sound system by the time I was done with it....

What are your favorite and least favorite words? Any reasons why? Yesterday I decided that "faux" was my favorite word. It sounds so much better than fake and it gets the point across better since it adds a bit of a snotty quality that's actually pretty comical when calling something fake. So today I thought it was pretty funny and appropriate for ljs "writer's block" suggestion to be about favorite words.
