More excitement than we wanted

As I was driving to work this morning Colleen called to say that the top floor of our neighbors' house was on fire. She'd spotted it just as she was leaving to go shopping, and called 911. Not exactly what one wants to hear while stuck in a traffic jam half an hour from home. Since there didn't seem to be much I could do at home, I decided to stay at work; I am now home because there were some errands that Colleen wasn't going to be able to get to. we're required to dress up at school a lot. any time we have to give a presentation or anything like that you might be lucky enough to see me in my lovely garb. so last week I had to dress up for something...I can't remember what. all I remember is that while I was driving to school that day I felt important. Sooo.... today I got some venoms done and my left nostril re-pierced. I'm a symmetry freak and they were very uneven before, so I had to do it. These were done by the awsomely wicked Dustin at Mata Mata in Hamilton, Ontario. I do have a centre tongue ring as well, but I took it out temporarily until the swelling goes down. And Ice water is a godsend! (kind of an awkaward angle, sorry) oh and more excitement.... I was asking Dustin about micro dermals, and he's going to start testing...

my entry title sounds kind of porny, but the late night excitement is: i have 1, 029 words for my world politics essay yay! i thought i would just stall and like, fail at life (i do that alot), but it's coming along alright. and all my subjects are coming together really well, because the historiography we've done in ARIS is letting my better evaluate the scholarship in government, esp. since i chose the Afghanistan question, and the writings are totes influenced by western scholar's sometimes...
