MacItBetter has released BetterZip 1.8 for Mac OS X. BetterZip lets you quickly inspect archives without first extracting their contents. You can add or extract files via drag-and-drop, delete files from archives, rename files, and create new folders inside the archive. Version 1.8 adds support for xar archives, Leopard installer packages, PKWARE compatible AES encrypted zip files, Python eggs, an older rar format, the old tar format and more. read more
