Big jump in time happens in this chapter, or more accurately several jumps in time. Alik makes a lot more progress, Demyan gets what's coming to him and Alik starts making his own way in the world. I sort of didn't expect things to go this way, but Alik turned out to be stronger than I expected. I think that there's one more chapter or maybe an epilogue left on this story. I got over 3000 words done yesterday but they're on a super-secret new project (well, not so secret really—go look at this post if you want to be spoiled on the plot (I believe it's unlocked)). I'd have posted it but Romantic Comedy isn't normally my thing (especially since this will have fade to black instead of explicit sex), so I'm going to write a good bit more before I think about posting it.
