Liu and Mihalcea (2007, pdf) , in a presentation given at ICWSM (March 2007) also reported lexical differences between men and women, in their analysis of 150,000 Blogspot posts written on July 27-28, 2006. The most distinguishing single words for women were "knitting", "hubby" and "yarn"; the men's words were "microsoft", "democrats", and "poker."
