The D.C. City Council passed the bill to replace the 11th Street Bridge into Anacostia today. The current bridge is a mess. Currently, east-southbound traffic on I-295 (also known as the Southeast-Southwest Freeway) are joined by traffic from the street level (e.g., rising from 11th Street SE) just as the bridge begins.
