Surely somebody around here must do lathing for hire? How about anodising? I can't find one evening course in metalwork, even though I know my old school in Cork used to do evening courses like that. And I really don't want to go to the expense of buying a bastard-big lathe and jam it in my shed. Plus, it's been 16 years since I had a go of one of the fast-turney-hurty-hurty things so I'd be worried I'd either screw up the piece, or, less amusingly, myself.
