Last Scandal ep 13 the one with all the angst

Awww, I totally sniffled my way through this ep. By some kdrama standards, this isn't too much angst (compare to protagonist of Time Between Dog and Wolf, with PTSD, torture etc or the terminally ill heroine of Snow Queen) but that makes it more 'felt' to me - not to mention I got so ridiculouslt invested in these characters! Also known as: Scandal in Old Seoul, Scandal in the Capital and Modern Romance, apparently. The setting is 1930's Korea, under Japanese rule. Our Heroine, Na Yeo Kyung is a traditional bookshop owner by day, revolutionary by night! Or her father died for the cause and she now seeks to follow in his footsteps (except for the dying part), with less success (aside from the not dying part). Our Hero, Seon Woo Wan is the playboy son of a rich family. But as that's pretty much a basic hero-ing requirement...

Spoilers had to take an emotional break for a while I had to wait a week or so before watching this because I was (and am) still so thrown into turmoil re: Cha Song Joo's death. I even did the thing where I watched five minute snippets at a time to get through the funeral scene without bawling my eyes out. Oh show. I love you so much, and yet. I'm still not happy about killing off Cha Song Joo; I would have been much more okay with it had Lee Su Hyun gone down as well so she was more a first...

I admit that I may have watched basically every single angst-laden scene between Cha Song Joo and Lee Su Hyun two or three times in the past few days. But! The UST! OMG! They just exchange significant glances questioning each other and then they do that whole not touching thing and clearly neither of them is capable of expressing their feelings on pain of death! And then they not touch some more while exchanging significant glances AND significant words that could be read differently! And then one...

This continues to make me so happy! Question: is Wan's last name 선우/Sun Woo? I had originally thought he and his brother's names were 우민/Woo Min and 우완/Woo Wan, but I keep hearing "선우씨/Sun woo sshi." Sorry about the romanization! I keep going with the romanization in the subtitles, which I'm pretty sure is not following any system whatsoever. I joke about dramas improving my Korean vocabulary and pronunciation, but it's true! I think I am getting a better feel for when to use different endings...
