I was delighted when Arthur seized upon Merlin's idea of swapping places, and quite sad when the episode did not proceed to be about Arthur and Merlin taking each other's roles. But it was suitably ridiculous and had me grinning like an idiot and making silly gleeful noises, so it certainly succeeded as an episode of Merlin .
