Sean Taylor 1983-2007 Sean Taylor passed away on Nov. 27, 2007, as a result of an injury from a shooting at his home. As a player, Taylor was regarded as the prototype NFL free safety, blessed with the quickness of a cover cornerback and the size of a strong-side linebacker.
