I fixed my modem and router all by myself. Verizon helped me through a few steps at the beginning in regards to troubleshooting (read: things that I already tried and knew wouldn't work), but then after we got through that, they told me to talk to Linksys for the rest. Linksys, for some god awful reason, wanted to charge me $39.99 to help, so I just started from the beginning by fixing the modem, configuring it for router use, then fixing the router.
