I just got a frantic call from one of our undergrads. The classroom computers don't have a new enough version of Quicktime to let them use the campus cable system (DATN) to watch the Superbowl in one of the classrooms. We don't control the classroom computers, and there's no one in the computer center today who could do an update for them. I'm posting because Kristen reminded me (perhaps unintentionally) that I should post more.  I went to Eugene for a CS Colloquium on Robotics.  It was actually the founder of Acroname (I think), who was giving the talk.  Unfortunately, it was totally undetailed and therefore uneducational.  Definitely a waste of money and time, at least I had Aaron to keep me company on the way back.  Basically the talk was to motivate U of O students to talk his special seminar next term.  Maybe I was expecting too...
