Coming home from the pilgrimage, I reflected on the privileges I take for granted. Solidly built housing. Private shower and toilet. My own room (in a space that would have held at least four internees). Adequate lighting. Comfortable furniture. Perhaps most importantly, I can walk out my front door and go absolutely anywhere, no restrictions, no barbed wire, no armed guards.
