So I found out there's a train station only minutes from where I live. AND it's operated by New Jersey Transit! Looking at the fares, it seems much cheaper than Metro North, even though Metro North is more reliable with more tracks, but costs more money per ticket than New Jersey Transit. The train station near me, however is a single track. But there's free parking on the weekends so that's a plus.
