Let's talk about Hellboy, shall we?  Yes, I liked the first Hellboy movie.  No, I did not like it at first.  Yes, Liz Sherman is the hotness.  Yes, Doug Jones is a talented and underrated actor.  Yes, Guillermo del Toro rules.  Yes, I liked Mimic. Last night I saw Hellboy II I caught the first one (again) on TV this week. Short quick summary of opinions of new film, no plot spoilers: 1. I liked the original one more plot wise -- new ones had some polt elements that didn't work for me. 2. I saw Hellboy 2 the other day. I loved it. I loved it way better than the first. Unfortunately, I'm so tired that I can't get the energy to write about it. So I'll just say this: Abe breaks my heart, the beer scene rules and OMG the fighting by Prince Nuada was pure poetry.

According to a blog entry from Tad Stones, producer of the popular animated Hellboy series, the third film "The Phantom Claw" will not enter production unless the DVD sales for Hellboy: Blood & Iron see a significant improvement from the first movie.
