from cbc.ca: OMG guelph is getting what ottawa transit riders have been requesting for years! we've thrown this idea around this community many times, now we see an ontario city actually implementing it - using GPS based on actual position of the buses to determine the schedule - and it's updated in realtime! meanwhile, ottawa has spent a lot of money outfitting 2/3 of its fleet of OC buses with GPS systems... ...only to continue using the antiquated "timepoint" system. sigh. that's it. i'm... read more
