In the three years of having this livejournal, and the however long it's been since my yahoo site was viciously deleted, I've had an empty 'Harry Potter' archive sitting here waiting to be filled.  The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was fantastic.  It reminded me of Forrest Gump. It was pretty sad toward the end, but overall it was a great movie.  One of my favorites now. Also the fact it touched on Hurricane Katrina also kinda hit me since I spent some time down there after that.

Strange. Fascinating. Mildly creepy. soulspire   and I made plans to see this at 3pm last Saturday, and afterwards we'd work on the church newsletter. Upon arriving at the theatre (1/2 hour early) we found out that the three o'clock showing was sold out- shows are rarely sold out that early at our theatre. There is certainly a lot to like about Brad Pitt's new movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons.  It's a beautiful film to look at, for one.  The cinematography, direction, and special effects are outstanding.  And the story - about a man who ages backwards - is compelling on several levels.  I found myself still thinking about different scenes days after I saw it, and that's always the sign of a good movie.  You'll probably want to talk about afterwards.  I found it interesting to discuss with...
