Niel Diamond is a Native Canadian film maker who made some noise when his feature length documentary Reel Injun showed at the Toronto Film Festival. Smart and funny, it takes a full look of the history of native people in Hollywood, or more accurately, how Hollywood portrays them. While there doesn't seem to be any deals for a US run, Canadian Racebending supporters will get a chance to see it when it gets a theatrical release February 19. read more

I got there twently minutes before the inaugural film of the ImagiNative Film Festival. I got in line which wrapped around the block down Albany Avenue. I love that feeling of not know if I'm gonna get into the film or not. That feeling of not knowing if people I know will meet me in time and the feeling of being caught in the energy of strangers' expectations. We got in and sat on the second balcony.
