On Dawn’s advice, the first step in restoring/preserving the wood is in filling in the gaps all along her outside with wood putty. Many are small hairline gaps, but there are a few, like the chainsaw gouge on her left hip, which will take more work. Not being a person to have worked with wood much, I’m learning as I go along.
