Well I have created a BLOG to document my learning expectations in a learning log for EDIT 187.   Sooooo... what are my learning expectations? I expect:           *to find new resources to assist with teaching           *to polish my presentation skills           *to learn some of the nuances for teaching adults as opposed to high school students I will probably develop more expectations as the class unfolds.

The Mexican Tourism Board has a rather refreshing new advertising campaign. "Mexico. Beyond Your Expectations." Is there really anywhere to go but up? They've even purchased vinyl bus-wrap ads on MUNI. I have been to Mexico on several occasions and it was pretty much exactly what I expected. Perhaps they're hoping the Everclear spiked Margaritas will make you think you are on the beach in the Bahamas instead of passed-out next to a urinal in Mazatlan without your passport and wallet...

I would love to be able to say that getting clean and working steps, etc. that I don't place expectations on others anymore...that is bullshit. I always place unrealistic expectations on those closest to me. Especially my husband. There is no way anyone could live up to what I expect from them. I need to start taking a more active role in looking at my own expectations for me and working on me. Everybody else needs the right to live their own life, not the life I have created for them in my head...
