My goodness, what a few days. It would perhaps be an idea to write this when it wasn’t 3 in the morning and I wasn’t knackered, but I have an LJ addiction and there’s a lot that needs saying. I apologise for anything I leave out or anything that’s incoherent. So, I’m no longer president of the debate society. It’s very weird, and it’ll no doubt feel weirder when it finally sinks in. For the moment, my only feeling is relief – I didn’t fuck it up. Or at least, the society doesn’t seem to think so...

I want to give a shout-out to Jodey Bee. I was not aware that the presidential debates had already started... but she was kind enough to get a hold of me and we were able to watch them together (sort of). She was rooting for Kucinich -- I convinced her to vote for him in 2004 -- but I didn't have the heart to tell her I won't be supporting him this time (though I do support his Cheney impeachment idea). Yesterday, I got into a two hour debate with my friend while we were hanging out at another friends house.
