Book Review

Lo and behold, someone got around to reviewing "The Enchanted Faerie"! What I like about good reviewers of anthologies is when they give a short reviewlet of each story. This is what Bitten by Books had to say about my story: "A gold hunter has a surprise homecoming when a young woman steals some cursed gold from him to pay for a chance at finding love - now if he can just find that woman. This story was definitely one of the better ones in the anthology. It not only met the expectations for... read more

TS 04: Review Response

So, I usually respond to reviews through private messages or emails, but I've decided that when neither method is possible, I'll post the review response here. This way, I don't run the risk of clogging the story with review responses... if I ever get more reviews. Hint, hint. Twenty Two Zeros: Thank you for your lovely feedback! It was especially interesting to read what you thought about each of the characters. I hope you continue to love them just as much as the story goes on!

REVIEW: Burn After Reading

Coen Brothers films are difficult to review. They don't easily fit into a genre. They don't compare easily to one another. And this year they couldn't have possibly exceeded their previous film - this year's Oscar winner for Best Picture , No Country for Old Men . If that film was like the culmination of their everything they had learned from their past films, this feels like a compilation of Coen Brothers parts. And I don't mean that to sound condescending. Somehow it evokes memories of Raising...

8x08 review

I just watched 8th episode of Smallville so I had to right something about it :) Episodes are getting better and better... And smile on my face while I'm watching Smallville is bigger and bigger. And Clois is totally LOVE! I mean,Bloodline was awesome! :)) Review under the cut... Every single Clois scene was awesome, all the lines Clark and Lois got are just perfect. I just loved when Lois was moving in,but so dissapointed when she said she won't be moving in after all and we could see Clark was...

Book review: Choice of the Cat

Today's book review is Choice of the Cat by E. E. Knight. This is the second book in the Vampire Earth series, following Way of the Wolf .  It would probably stand on its own -- there is not very much reference to events in the first book -- but it would certainly be easier to understand who the main character is and what the world is starting from the first book. I enjoyed the feel of the writing in this book.  It engaged my attention and was fun to read; these qualities are what really make...

Quantum of Solace: Review

Hi Everyone, what better way to kick off a LiveJournal account than a movie review? So here goes, comments are welcome :) Quantum of Solace is a strange movie, and in some ways a paradox of itself, strangely a lot of the things I liked about it are also the things I disliked. The film follows on directly from where Casino Royale left off and opens with a thumping high octane car advert (you’ll see what I mean), which then evolves quickly into a thumping high octane car chase along a dusty old...
