Art fairs and other fun weekend stuff

Friday was Steve's birthday! Yay! It was nice to see him again, I was afraid he'd off & disappeared. Saturday was the one-day arts fair in downtown Cary. Lots of awesome stuff, but I just got a cute headband and a bad sunburn. It itches. (Leah offered me sunscreen, it was totally my fault.) Currently I need to do a lot of things. Classes and job seeking are important. I am tired and feel empty when I do these things. Sometimes I want to be away from them. Now I am going to talk about the job fairs in LA and NY. Most companies were Japanese ones (some are foreign -affiliated companies.) So I'm basically addicted to street fairs and festivals. Does anyone know of a good website to find out about stuff like this in LA? Event listings and such? I already know about LA Weekly and sometimes find events on Yelp, but any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Today was a near perfect weather day and we ventured in to the city for some street fairs and flea markets. I found some wicked ethnic pants and a very cool Eames type lamp. Life's been great recently. Seriously, it really has. The summer holidays are here, school's over for the year and my family and I have been very busy with lots and lots of steam rallies. Something you should know- I adore steam rallies.  They're absolutely brilliant, and I always enjoy them. The machines are interesting to look out, the fair's fun, and you can find lots of fun things in the market. Most of all however, I love the atmosphere.
